So what do I look for in a walkie-talkie route like the one I have here at Bassett Park in Amherst, New York? First of all, I need to have a route that’s long enough where I have enough time to clear my head and gather my thoughts so that I can actually make a couple of videos, couple shorts or whatnot.
Second, I wanna have people-watching opportunities. To have enough people where I can kinda watch what people are doing but not have a lot of people where I get self-conscious for recording. And third, I wanna have alternate routes so that I can keep things visually interesting for myself because one thing I found when I was walking the trail in Stamford is it’s just the same thing every time, and it just gets monotonous, and it just becomes really boring.
So this particular park has a lot of different avenues you can go. You have the one that loops around the amphitheater. You have a couple trails through the woods, and there’s another trail that goes over by the playground. So yeah, this is a really great park. It’s definitely a great walkie-talkie route.
It’s absolutely dead today. It’s a Wednesday morning around nine-thirty. There is an amphitheater here where they do have concerts sometimes, so I’m gonna definitely check that out. What do you look for in a walking or hiking route? Do you just go around your neighborhood?
Do you go to a park? Do you go to a specific trail? Let me know in the comments.
